Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid & Salicylic Acid
Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, such as Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid, and Beta-Hydroxy Acids, such as Salicylic Acid are among the
safest methods of exfoliation and increasing skin turnover.
As we age, a number of skin changes occur which require
different types of skin care and treatments.
One such change is that the rate of the skin cell
replacement is reduced, producing a thinner, more fragile skin. Skin is
replaced every three weeks at age 20 but this increases to every nine weeks by
age 50.
The use of these acids will help to stimulate and speed
cell turnover, thereby producing more vibrant and smoother looking skin. The top
layer of skin will be thinned by the exfoliation of dead cells, but in the
deeper layers of skin, new collagen and elastin will be stimulated and the skin
will actually become thicker, tighter and more firm.
Glycolic Peels at strengths of 30% and above have been scientifically proven
to stimulate collagen production deep in the skin.
When using Glycolic Acid or Lactic Acid for skin regeneration, stronger does not neccesarily mean
better! Glycolic Acid peels of higher stengths
such as 50%-70% will only slightly speed the process, but the skin rebuilding induced by a
70% AHA chemical peel (which is costly and may cause scarring) in 3 months can
be duplicated by a 7% AHA cream in 9 months, and by a 40% peel only 2-4 weeks longer than a 70% Peel.
Thus, doing a peel yourself at home with strengths of 30%
will give you the same results as the higher strength peels, but the
results take just slightly longer.

product is formulated so that the user experiences no "Down Time", that is,
there is no period of time where you need to recover from excessive peeling or
redness.

when using Acid Products.
If you are new to Glycolic Products, start by using a 10% or
15% Glycolic Acid Treatment Cream or Gel listed below for a few weeks before
using a Glycolic Peel Kit. After you have been using the Glycolic Treatment
Cream or Gel with no adverse effects for a few weeks, you may start a series of
Peels using the 30% Glycolic Peel Kit or 50% Lactic Acid Peel Kit.
For the very best results, use a 10% or
15% Glycolic Acid Treatment Cream or Gel every night in addition to your weekly peel.
Use a Glycolic Acid Treatment Cream or Gel daily, combined
with a series of Glycolic Acid Peels for maximum results! You will see results
faster and maintain your results longer by using both products.

undergone Chemotherapy, Radiation, or Accutane treatment. Do not use on irritated skin,
