Glycolic Acid
Glycolic Acid is part of the alpha-hydroxy (AHA) family of natural ingredients (derived from sugar cane) and is used for a variety of reasons relating to anti-aging; to diminish and soften the appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles and to improve skin Tone and Texture (making the skin smoother, tighter and more youthful looking overall).
Glycolic Acid works as an exfoliant. Because it has the smallest molecular structure of all AHAs, glycolic acid is able to deeply penetrate the damaged areas of the skin and efficiently accelerate removal of the outermost layer of dead skin cells that clog and make skin look dull. By removing that top layer of skin, the newer (healthier) skin is revealed.

Lactic Acid
Lactic Acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sour milk. Because Lactic Acid is gentler than glycolic acid, it's one of the best chemical peel choices for sensitive skin types as well as those with darker skin tones.
Lactic Acid works as an exfoliant. It's able to deeply penetrate the damaged areas of the skin and efficiently accelerate removal of the outermost layer of dead skin cells that clog and make skin look dull. Salicylic Acid (Jessner's formula)
Jessner's formula is a combination of beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) and alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), with Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid plus Resorcinol to boost the results. This combination exfoliates the damaged outermost layer of skin, leading to natural peeling of the skin. After a few days, a smoother and more radiant layer of skin is exposed.
Jessner's is appropriate for all skin tones and is an excellent choice for those with oily acneic skin, cystic acne, back acne, combination skin prone to occasional breakouts, and sun damaged skin.
Our Salicylic Acid/Jessner's solution is formulated at a concentration of 7%, using pure pharmaceutical grade Salicylic Acid (USP certified) plus Lactic Acid and resorcinol to boost the results. The pH is 2.8 for maximum effectiveness and safety.
*Based in alcohol, Jessner's is a drying peel.
Salicylic Acid Caution: For those allergic or sensitive to salicylic acid - If you have allergies to salicylates (such as you cannot eat fruit), we recommend you use an alpha-hydroxy acid such as glycolic acid or lactic acid instead.
Pregnancy Warning: Salicylic acid may be absorbed through the mother's skin. Salicylic acid has not been studied in pregnant women. However, studies in animals have shown that salicylic acid causes birth defects when given orally in doses about 6 times the highest dose recommended for topical use in humans. Before using this medicine, make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or if you may become pregnant, especially if you will be using salicylic acid on large areas of your body.
Other Medical Precautions: The presence of other medical conditions may affect the use of salicylic acid, especially if you are using a 5% or stronger salicylic acid preparation. Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions, especially:
* Blood Vessel Disease
* Diabetes Mellitus (Sugar Diabetes) - Use of this medicine may cause severe redness or ulceration, especially on the hands or feet
* Inflammation, Irritation, or Infection of the skin - Use of this medicine may cause severe irritation if applied to inflamed, irritated, or infected area of the skin
* Recent Accutane use

Ingredients:

20% Lactic Acid solution contains: pure pharmaceutical grade (USP) lactic acid, distilled water, licorice extract, propylene glycol, citric acid, triethanolamine.
7% Salicylic Acid (Jessner's) solution contains: pure pharmaceutical grade (USP) salicylic acid, SD alcohol 40B, lactic acid (USP), resorcinol (USP).
Skin Prep Toner contains: isopropyl alcohol, witch hazel, aloe vera gel, propylene glycol, glycolic acid, purified water.
Notes:
* Applying Acid solution with a Fan Brush will give the most impressive and professional results.
* Do not expose exfoliated skin to sunlight without adequate protection (daily use of sunscreen SPF-15 or higher is recommended).
